Orbis Corporation celebrates 10 years of manufacturing in Guanajuato

ORBIS Corporation celebrated a decade of operations in the Mexican state, at its plant located in Guanajuato Puerto Interior.

During this period, the plant has established itself as a benchmark in the manufacture of returnable packaging, processing more than 18,000 orders; it currently has 610 employees.

Héctor López Santillana, CEO of Guanajuato Puerto Interior, emphasized the importance of ORBIS’s permanence in Guanajuato and its impact on local economic development.

«This continuity strengthens any organization’s ability to evolve with the challenges of the marketplace and the customers who demand it,» he said.

Alberto Soto, vice president and director of ORBIS Mexico, highlighted the growth and commitment of ORBIS to innovation and sustainability in Mexico.

«In these ten years, we have managed not only to make our manufacturing processes more efficient, but also to consolidate a great work team and reaffirm our leadership in the market».

The ORBIS plant in Silao has been recognized three times as «Plant of the Year» for its high quality and safety standards. In addition, the company maintains its commitment to sustainability by using more than 50% recycled materials in its production and developing circular economy programs.

Norm Kukuk, President of ORBIS Corporation, recalled the siting process for the plant and the decision to locate in Guanajuato. He also noted that the plant has operated for nearly six years without a safety incident, reflecting the company’s commitment to operational excellence in the state.
