Toyota celebrates 5 years in Guanajuato

The Toyota OEM, located in Apaseo el Grande, celebrated the fifth anniversary of its arrival in Guanajuato.
Initially, the Japanese company invested two billion dollars and created three thousand jobs. In its consolidation, it invested 1.114 billion dollars and added 450 jobs.

The Ministry of Economy, headed by Claudia Cristina Villaseñor Aguilar, assured that the arrival of the assembly plant is not only a milestone for the local economy, but also a source of prosperity that will continue to benefit thousands of families in Guanajuato.

According to a press release, Toyota’s impact in Guanajuato goes beyond the plant; its presence has strengthened the region’s industrial ecosystem by attracting suppliers, encouraging investment in infrastructure, sharing technology and training workers to global standards.

The Laja-Bajío Zone is a world-class automotive hub thanks to the synergy between companies, workers and authorities.

The document highlights that Toyota has strengthened its commitment to Guanajuato through social and environmental initiatives.
