The state of Guanajuato reaffirms its position as Mexico’s industrial engine by securing a historic total of 49 investment projects over the past 20 months. These initiatives represent an economic impact exceeding $3.72 billion, with projections for the creation of 11,660 new jobs.

Thanks to world-class infrastructure and a skilled workforce, investment has been strategically distributed across eight key cities, expanding development opportunities along a dynamic industrial corridor comprising the cities of León, Silao, Irapuato, Salamanca, Celaya, Apaseo el Grande, San Miguel de Allende, and San José Iturbide.

The State Secretariat of Economy reported that the economic promotion strategy is moving forward at full speed. Currently, Guanajuato maintains an active portfolio of 59 potential projects: “These results reflect a solid strategy of investor certainty and the strengthening of our production chains, positioning Guanajuato as a national benchmark in competitiveness.”
The Government of Guanajuato estimates that these future investments, coming from emerging and established markets such as Korea, India, France, Sweden, and Taiwan, could contribute more than $1.45 billion and generate over 14,000 jobs in the metalworking, home appliances, and advanced technology sectors.
